Lovers of original works of art, created by local artists, can look forward to the return of Arts in Redditch’s Pop-Up Gallery in the Kingfisher Centre this July.

Because of restrictions imposed due to the pandemic, the usual May and November Pop-Up Galleries had to be cancelled last year, and although many regular exhibitors continued to be creative during this long period, opportunities to exhibit their work were very limited.

Opening on Thursday, 1st July and running for 10 days, this Pop-Up Gallery features forty local artists who will be exhibiting over 500 individual works of art, including paintings, ceramics, textile work, photography and other media. All the work is for sale, and can be taken away on the day of purchase.

The exhibition, which is organised by the artists themselves, will be in Unit 24, Walford Walk, opposite Clinton’s Cards. As a taster, the windows of this unit currently feature a display of work from some of the participating artists.

Confirming details of the forthcoming exhibition, Philip Roberts, one of the Trustees of Arts in Redditch, commented: “We are really excited by the prospect of resuming our Pop-Up Galleries, which we have run twice a year since 2014. As well as many of our regular exhibitors, we are delighted to welcome some new participants, who are looking forward to exhibiting with us for the first time. Once again, we are indebted to the management team and staff of the Kingfisher Centre, without whom these events would not be possible.”
