Free May Half Term Activity in partnership with Kingfisher Redditch
Explore a super-sustainable maze and free daily craft workshops this half term. This innovative and eco-friendly event aims to promote sustainability, inspire positive change, and celebrate the arrival of spring. The Sustainable Spring Event will showcase a range of activities and initiatives that highlight the importance of sustainable living and environmental consciousness.
We hope this event inspires and empowers individuals to make small changes that collectively have a positive impact on the environment.
Made out of 100% recycled material, the maze will feature clues (and lots of selfie opportunities) to our nature inspired quiz. Explore and uncover the answers from the clues throughout the maze then make your way back to take part in the free craft workshop.
Located on Walford Walk, the maze will be open from Saturday 25th – Friday 31st May, The craft workshops will begin Monday 27th – Friday 31st May 11am-4pm.
Down The Garden
Monday 27th May
Invite little fluttering friends into your garden with a beautiful and bright bird houses. Using pens and/or paint children will get to design their own birdhouse to take home.
Tuesday 28th May
Turn an old egg box into a starter garden. First, decorate your box with pens and make your labels, then come and get some soil and seeds from our staff. Take it home, give it some water and sun light and watch your garden grow.
Wednesday 29th May
Let’s make seed bombs! Using paper, seeds, and water children will form seed bombs ready to take home and plant in their garden.
Thursday 30th May
Time to colour in some garden creepers and crawlers and create your very own bug mask. Welcome to the bug masquerade ball!
Friday 31st May
Creating a buzz at Kingfisher Shopping Centre this May Half Term! Children will be tasked with the mission of creating their very own bumble bee cupcake, using black and yellow icing and some little eyes they will bring this buzzy creature to life. Once they have finished they will pop their yummy
