To celebrate the multicultural diversity, Redditch town centre comes alive once again this summer with its first Eastern Festival to be hosted at the Canopies on Sunday 14th August. The old undercover market area has gone through an amazing transformation to set the backdrop for such events.
This vibrant Festival of Eastern Food and Drink, music and entertainment will offer a range of fabulous artisan food producers from award winning local restaurants, dishing up cuisine from Eastern Europe, Asia and beyond, served in a fantastic street food ‘Pop Up’ style setting.
For one day only, restaurants, eateries and bars will join forces to bring Redditch its first annual festival celebrating the diverse culture it has to offer. As most foodies will agree, Redditch`s cultural route could take you from Indian curries to Mediterranean Kebabs, Italian pizza, English fish & chips, or Japanese sushi, and that’s just for starters.
Live music from Indian musicians to Polish dancers will take stage to entertain the crowd, while local traders set up arts and crafts stalls. There are also plans to provide a satellite Shisha Lounge while you enjoy a cocktail from the bar.
““It is a great opportunity to celebrate the diversity of Redditch, allowing the different cultures to come together and highlight the vibrancy they bring. The Eastern Festival will give local businesses the opportunity to showcase the best of Redditch and allow the community to experience the colourful, exciting, and uniqueness these cultures they represent.
It is another event that I hope will become an annual fix, and with events planned every month until the end of the year, Redditch is truly showing the potential of a great town. I strongly believe working with the local businesses, we can raise the bar for Redditch and showcase the best we have to offer.”

This free event will be open for visitors from 12pm to 6pm on Sunday 14th August.
